Tenere Plastics save your OEM set for the road. RTECH T7 Revolution for the Tenere 700

Tenere Plastics save your OEM set for the road. RTECH T7 Revolution for the Tenere 700

Swapping your daily-driver plastics for trail duty? We did!

The RTECH T7 Revolution kit gives your Tenere 700 a tougher, dirt-bike feel so you can keep the fragile OEM set fresh for tarmac days. We ride from Stjärnsund, Sweden, and this is the kit we keep seeing on hard-used T7s.

Why we picked the RTECH kit

  • Trail-friendly material: flexible, scratch-resistant polypropylene designed for off-road knocks. rtechmx.com

  • Complete facelift: shrouds, tank cover, central sides, rear sides, rear fender—reuses stock hardware. TMBR MOTO

  • Real-world praise: many reviews we checked out first had “very good fit,” “easy to install,” and “fit & finish on point.” Yamaha Tenere 700 ForumYouTube

  • Durable feel: “bendy” PP is less crack-prone than rigid OEM-style ABS—great for drops on gravel. Reddit

  • Lots of colorways: Keeps the look fresh and easy to change

What we liked

Fit and look great… super easy to install… uses all the factory grommets.

They look amazing… flexible like it can take a hit.

The one gotcha: Acerbis oversize tank fitment

Running the Acerbis 23 L / 6.1 gal Tenere 700 tank? Out of the box, RTECH side plastics don’t play nicely with it. We have forced a compromise with trimming/heat-gun tweaks around the vent strips.

Quick install/ownership tips

  • Test-fit everything before graphics; RTECH-specific graphics differ from stock-T7 templates.

  • Expect PP to scuff more easily than ABS which is normal for “dirt-bike-style” plastics. Frame tape or light film helps.

  • Note: Most retailers list the current Revolution kit for 2019–2024 T7 (not 2025)—check your year.

When your goal is to actually ride the T7 offroad (and have fewer tears after a tip-over), saving the OEM set for road duties and running RTECH in the rough just makes sense.
