TET Sweden: Adventure for the views and keep the trails open

Sweden dishes up endless forest gravel, big skies, and calm lakes, the kind of riding that’s about soaking in the view, not racing the clock.

The TET route stitches those moments together, looping through quiet woods and farm country where a light throttle and a friendly wave go a long way.

TET

  • Gravel for days: Once you leave the main roads, Sweden’s backcountry turns into a ribbon of firm, winding gravel absolutely perfect for ADV and dual-sport bikes.

  • Space to breathe: Fewer people, huge landscapes, and long summer days make it easy to slow down and enjoy the ride. Adventure Bike Rider

  • Right of Public Access (Allemansrätten): Enjoy nature respectfully but remember it doesn’t permit off-road motorized riding. Stick to legal roads and tracks.

Pace & place: friendly-speed etiquette

Out in the woods, you’ll often see ~70 km/h limits on rural/gravel roads and you’ll frequently encounter 30–40 km/h near homes, farms, schools, or village clusters where it’s posted. The rule of thumb: ride to conditions, read the signs, and roll off the throttle near people, animals, and minimise dust.

Keep it open for everyone

  • TET is about public roads and legal tracks, sure there are many more and add to the adventure! just keep in mind that the farm trail that you pass might not be a legal road.

  • Be a good guest: Slow around houses, farms, stock, and hikers; pass wide and gently save the roost for empty stretches. Trans Euro Trail

  • Camp smart: Wild camping is part of the charm, choose discreet spots, leave no trace, and keep early/quiet mornings. Swedish Environmental Protection Agency
