The Tenere 700's rear linkage sits low and exposed. On gravel, rocky tracks, or anywhere the trail gets technical, it takes direct hits from stones and debris and a bent or damaged linkage means the suspension stops working the way it should. This is the fix.

The Gravelface Linkage Guard is a 6mm HDPE plate that mounts inside your OEM skid plate, sitting between the linkage and whatever the trail throws at it. It's contoured to follow the suspension geometry and flex under load, so it moves with the bike rather than fighting it. When you put the suspension through its travel on a rock step or a rough descent, the guard works with it.

Why HDPE and not aluminium

Most riders' instinct is to go heavier and harder. Aluminium is rigid  it transfers impact load directly into the mounting hardware, and on repeated hits it can crack or distort the mounting points on the skid plate. HDPE absorbs and deflects. It's the same reason motocross bikes use plastic bash plates, not metal ones. The 6mm thickness gives you serious abrasion and impact resistance without adding unnecessary weight or stiffness to the underside of the bike.

The OEM skid plate compatibility is the whole point

Other linkage guards on the market require you to buy a new skid plate — either their own brand, or an aftermarket unit. This one mounts inside the stock Yamaha plate you already have. If you're happy with your OEM setup and don't want to spend 300–400 EUR on a new bash plate just to protect the linkage, this is the part that does the job without the compromise.
